However, the principle behind them is the same: your Destiny (now Talent) only affects what skills you get 2x training with and what additional stats you get upon leveling up for the current rebirth. G13 introduced the Destiny system, which was supplanted in G17 by the current Talent system. Every count of a skill had to be trained. You picked up a weapon and went rampaging around Erinn's countryside, putting points into whatever skill you so chose to. At Mabi's genesis, there was no such system. When you begin the game, Nao will ask you to choose a Talent, which might lead new players into a mistake: "I am choosing my job / skillset". Common Misconceptions with the Talent System But regardless of the reason, you've decided to boot up your game and start a new character (or possibly rebirth an old one), and now you're staring at the talents screen. Or maybe you played a long time ago but left because of some reason or other. So you decided to download this "Mabinogi" thing to check it out. For now if you're a new player, you may want to reference my comments for updated information. I'll most likely write up a new starting talent guide later. I've added several comments to update this guide for talent status in 2021. I am by no means an expert at Mabi and much of the information here is sourced elsewhere.Įdit : Cryozen here sorta TakingOver this guide. Beginner Talents and You: or, why Nexon hates you If anyone has any "mid game" tips for me Id be super open to them for the sake of learning and maybe plotting out my path to reach end game or at least get closer to it. Should I be just running Gs to get whatever rewards they have? Should I run specific ones for their rewards and ignore others? But theres just so much unanswered and so much Im unsure of. I know I need to get some good armor too (working on it just not sure if heavy or light are better for 2h sword CC). I can get a good bit through it but I kinda get stomped by the Hollow Knights and Wights (Alchemy helps for the Wights but not so much for the Hollow Knights) and I just end up giving up cause I burn through my pots/cloud pets/whatever else I have to heal me. Like I wanted to farm Ghost Fluid to make Ghost Swords so I can work on Erg leveling for my weapon (Fanatic Greatsword ive had since forever and Im a fair bit too broke for a Divine Blade atm) but I cant even get past floor 2 for Peaca. But there are just always things on the back of my mind. Ive been watching some great guides Ive been pointed to and they do answer a fair few questions. Havent really touched much else outside of CC and Fighter for a little.) so I can get the stats the give or for some other reward. There are likely a host of skills I should have leveled or be leveling (Dabbled in Ninja for a little to get some of whatever stat Ninja skills give, did a fair amount of Alchemy to unlock Hydra cause Hydra was good or maybe still is. I have actually finished G19 and am more or less done with G20 and have just started G22). Ive done G2 up to unlocking Paladin Transformation.

There are likely a few Generations I need to finish (think Ive only actually finished G9 and have G10 in progress. Is it when I hit 5k? Is there a list of things I should do before getting into mid game? Like I have the weapon I want (At least for now). And Im kinda unsure when it becomes mid game. Which I dont like doing lol) Ive reached over 5k in level. And after doing a lot of the Brave boost (on Memoir 3 right now and have to level a bunch of bard skills. So Ive been getting back into Mabi in my off time from my primary MMO.
